S/W Theme Update?

Sup.

I posted in the suggestions forum about solutions to the recent spam/bot issues. A main concern was how human verification was handled, and the fact that the current VBulletin software is outdated. M.Burroughs replied saying that they will be updating the forum to a 4.x version within the next couple days.

Here's the problem. This will definitely, significantly, if not completely remove any chances of new bots and spammers. But, it will be very difficult to adapt our current forum theme to a newer version, if possible at all. So I sat down, installed a version of VB 4.0.8 on a free server, and put together something nice that matches the new blog page. This theme is compatible with the new software, and it's basically a draft. I figured Mike or whoever does the page design would not have time to redesign the forum.

I just wanted to get input on what I put together, and if there's anything you would change, let me know.

Hmm. I did a a lot of editing on my mac and it loads. Could be something with your isp/firewall/etc. I'll get a screenshot for you to look at instead

I have it hosted on a free server based out of Japan or something, so your ISP might have trouble getting to it.

That's how forums work, they're not entirely that dynamic. From where I started, what I ended up with is completely different. You have to remember that people are on these things for hours a day, if they're over the top, annoying to look at, or hard to navigate, they're gonna have a bad time.
