I posted in the suggestions forum about solutions to the recent spam/bot issues. A main concern was how human verification was handled, and the fact that the current VBulletin software is outdated. M.Burroughs replied saying that they will be updating the forum to a 4.x version within the next couple days.
Here's the problem. This will definitely, significantly, if not completely remove any chances of new bots and spammers. But, it will be very difficult to adapt our current forum theme to a newer version, if possible at all. So I sat down, installed a version of VB 4.0.8 on a free server, and put together something nice that matches the new blog page. This theme is compatible with the new software, and it's basically a draft. I figured Mike or whoever does the page design would not have time to redesign the forum.
I just wanted to get input on what I put together, and if there's anything you would change, let me know.
