Any music producers in here?

Sorry if there is already a thread like this, I searched but couldn't find anything.

Any music producers in here? I'm sure there are.

I do mainly MIDI keyboard stuff through Reason 4 or Logic Express, which I feel very limited with both programs. I'm also not a whizz with all the technical shit, browsing forums looking for info usually only left me more confused haha but I tinkered a bunch here and there and got pretty used to it. Started in 2008 using garageband and just kind of took it from there. It's just a hobby for me, never really expect it to go anywhere...

I don't do any samples or anything, just mess around with the keyboard until something sounds cool haha. Here are my two favorite songs I've made:

Hey man, I'm in a band and we have been doing some recording and producing ourselves with the help of our friends at Fuzztone Records in Springfeild, PA.

I'm looking at getting more into midi stuff for our next album, I have messed around with it a little bit. My friend Evan is more fluent with it than I.

We just set my basement up to record and we live tracked ten of our new songs. We just got a new 16 channel fire-wire mixer witch is going to be so helpful. We run protools right now and abelton but we're not totally sold on either yet.

2nd one has a Ratatat vibe to it, I dig it! I produce some stuff once and a while but I lose interest and stop doing it for months at a time and then one day I'll just decide to make something again. Just kind of a hobby.

Im digging your music dude! Its got this awesome mellowness to it. I wanna hear more!

As for myself, I cant really explain what kind of music i do. I willing to make any kind of music if i have to tools for it. I just made a electronic song last night this i will have to post up soon! Im pretty happy with it so far.
I make a lot of acoustic progressive music since im a passionate guitarist, but like i said, i make anything i have the tools for.

Oh and im mainly a Cubase user.
