you could get 500 out of that 351 without too much hassle. some good heads and a solid roller cam over .600" lift should get you there

Im sure if I squeezed every last ounce of aftermarket I can out of it, I'd achieve something satisfactory. Not that 350 to the wheels isn't satisfactory. I just didn't want to spend all my money on aluminum heads and a roller cam for a work truck that I might end up selling.
