Have had discussions with photographers that shot them, people used to want to touch them so badly that they would put their hands out as they went past at full noise... The cars then used to pull into service areas and the team would have to remove fingers/hands/arms from the car that had been torn off in the previous stages apparently...

thats crazy^^^^ imagine having peoples body parts on your car after a race! rallying esoecially in those days is insane with the whole no wall and rules regarding how close spectators can get to the action. the crowds all most have the same size balls as the drivers

Rallying is great, we just need better coverage. Right now the only channel that I know of that has any coverage is HD Theater, and not many people get that. Best channel evar though.

Didn't get it until this summer, and didn't discover that it had rally on it until 2am one night. It was this crazy motorcycle and sidecar thing, but they were going fast as crap. Lots of fun to watch, but it was no WRC
