Don't mean to thread jack here, but how was COTA? I'm looking forward to the first MotoGP race there next year and I was wondering what people that went to the F1 race thought of the track.

It was a great track, really nicely laid out. We got seats at Turn 12 which were really good(I could see all the way up to the first turn, with binoculars of course). Even general seating was pretty damn good. Definetly a very nice track. I'm considering going to Moto GP or ALMS next year along with F1.

On a side note, did anyone go to Austin for the race? If so does anyone have pictures?

I was at the race in Austin, it kicked ass. These are the only two pictures I've got uploaded right now. I've got bunches more that I can post later. Sorry for the crappy quality.

Absolutely. I'm a huge Formula 1 fan and with the track being a 5 hour drive from my house I'm not gonna pass up the opportunity. Last years race was fantastic. We had grandstand seats at Turn 12 and they were great, tons of awesome overtaking and we could see all the way to turn one. Next year I'm probably just gonna get general admission and cruise around wherever. All in all it was a great race and a great experience. The vibe was awesome, everyone was pumped to be there and there was no drunken shenanigans that I saw. Saturday night there was a ton of cool activities going on downtown also. My only two complaints are the food price(kind of expected) and the autograph signing bullshit(I blame Bernie) not the track. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good race!
