THON is finally here. This weekend we dance for 46 hours straight, no sitting, no laying down, no breaks, because cancer doesn't rest.

The Penn State IFC Panhellenic Dance Marathon is the world's largest student run philanthropy. All money raised goes to the 4 Diamonds Foundation, to help in the fight against pediatric cancer, so one day we can find a cure for this horrible disease. Last year we raised $9,563,016.09 all for the kids. This year with your help we can raise even more.

They're called slides of strength and for the 768 dancers (and when the kids want a quick 20 second massage as well).

Just an update, THON has been going for just over 12 hours. Going fantastically so far.

We CRUSHED last years total, and raised $10,686,924,83! That's over $1.1 million more than last year, and the first time THON has ever gotten over 10 million! Absolutely stunning weekend, and I would go as far to say it was the best weekend ever, the time leading up to it, and preparing all became worth it this weekend. I'm both physically (slept 5 hours over since Friday, spent 24 hours on shift on my feet doing my job at THON, which is nothing compared to what the dancers had to do), and emotionally drained so many up and down moments. But to say I'm overwhelmingly proud would be an understatement. This is why I THON.
