    RIP to both...

I dont personally know either one...nor do I place a higher value on either life.

Unless you know either one personally and know the ins and outs of their lives and contributions to society...just say RIP

i think people are always looking for a role model. There are scumbag entertainers, scumbag sports and political figures and scumbag service persons. You want a role model for you or your kids...make sure it starts and ends with you.

Dont get me wrong, I get what you're trying to say but Being in the Military is a thankless job...this coming from a military brat.

look how many people died in the first and second world wars.. far far more than however many have died fighting in afghan. did they each get singular recognition for losing their lives? nope, and they were called up, most didn't have the CHOICE to join up and fight for a living should the need arise.

whitney houston isnt the first celebrity to die from misuse of drugs or depression or whetever. but she had a big connection with alot of people across the world through her singing. not saying one life is more worthy than the other by any means. just sayin.

as an aside, i respect each and every member of the armed forces for the job they do, i certainly couldn't do it.
