If people don't like the style of a car or what ever, they shouldn't talk shit about it.

They should say, it's ok for you, for me it's not, but if you need help i try my best.

      A car guy honors a good build, it's doesn't matter what's it's style.

Welcome to the world of lowered cars.

I couldn't tell you how many times my dad gives me crap for slamming my car. But he's right if you think about it. It's not practical, serves no REAL purpose. But we do it becuase we love it. No reason to let other people's opinions upset you. Just do what you like?

This. Stop giving a fuck about insignificant crap like other people's opinions and everything's fine.

That said, I've read the first post in the link and I can actually see where he's coming from, to a certain point. Safety's important. There is many kids out there just emulating the style with no clue at all about what they're doing. Some self-education so you have some rudimentary knowledge of how suspension works, what is actually happening with your car and what effects slamming it will have should be mandatory for anyone starting out. Sadly this isn't the case... Imho, do it right - or don't at all.

thats also incorrect, a proper suspension rides great no matter what height its at.

OP: ignore them, they actually have no idea what they are talking about.

My point is that when your car is less than 1 inch off the ground and you have to crawl across train tracks on busy streets, I can see his point. Broadway suspension or cut springs, this will happen.

Improve the roads with all the tax money that we pay in and no one would have to do that.

I'm not saying I agree with these guys. I can just see their side of the argument, I mean, itsn't that what we want? For them to see our side of the argument? Don't get me wrong, my Civic is SLAMMED and I drive it SLOW over train tracks, and there are roads where I go 10 MPH under the speed limit. I do it becuase I love it, and I don't care what other enthusiasts say about it. There are also Mustang owners who make fun of Honda owners all of the time, but I don't let them bother me either. Just modify your car how YOU like it, there will always be people who don't like what you do..

The problem is that there shouldn't be any argument. They set their vehicles up for a track. We don't. Different styles, different purpose, different opinion.

..but there always will be. Mustangs vs. Hondas, Function vs. Form, Nissan vs. Hondas, Domestic vs. Import. There are people that I hang out with who have Cobra's and 6.0 GTO's and they are fine with what I drive. I also have buddies who drive lifted trucks and they get a kick out of how low my car is. But then there are the other guys who don't like my car.

No matter what you drive and how you modify it, there will ALWAYS be another group who doens't like it.

Truth ^^^ Even on here there are the 'Do it right the first times' and the 'Make it up as we go alongs' fake vs real wheels, poke vs flush, gaudy vs boring... There will always be someone who disagrees with you and as much as I love this forum cause most people do not argue stupid shit like that there are plenty that do. Part of the reason I do not post a lot on here is I do not have a whole lot stance wise to show, but Ill admit a big part too is it is just easier to avoid the bickering altogether by not posting. That is why I pretty much only ask for technical knowledge and give people who deserve it props on here. I'm not gonna say I don't get caught up and speak my mind cause that's a lie, and I'll admit most the time it happens at about 2 am after I have had a shitty night.

I'm not here to argue, I'm here to learn and to share my love of cars.
