American Dubstep now is all over the place. Some quite similar to UK artists, some closer to crunk, some closer to trip-hop.
Dubstep has come a long long way in a short time, from where it started. The point in the dubstep timeline where I "joined" was with Benga, and I found a whole bunch of Benga online. That's what dubstep was, to me. Months later, I found a Tek-One remix of a Bring Me The Horizon song. I didn't even make the connection but I liked it so I looked up what genre Tek-One was classed, so I could find more similar stuff. Dubstep, apparently. Quite the difference.
Anyways, was listening to Blue Slide Park (Mac Miller) on the way to the store today. Felt good on a Sunday morning.
