Hey I know school just started not too long ago. I'm taking A&P I and I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with the class? It's already turning out to be really interesting, but at the same timg VERY time consuming. Anybody out there able to offer any advice?

Yeah I took A&P I and II over the summer. Strength and Conditioning major, it really is time consuming for one class. A lot of memorization but it also depends on the level you are in. I had a lab to go along with both classes and the labs were easier (more hands on) compared to book work. Acronyms can be helpful sometimes when learning the material and also charts will spell everything out... Just have to find a way that you will be able to remember the material. A lot of information to be learned...

I'm taking the first one with the lab also. Did the workload seem to increase as the semester went on, or did it stay around the same?Originally posted by redciv1Style 5's and E36's are like Civic's and Rota's, just looks good.Originally posted by Francois DillingerWould you wear skechers with an armani suit?

I think that it stayed around the same throughout the semester. It will also depend on what you are learning about, somethings will just be harder to learn etc. so those will take longer to understand but I thought it was pretty steady throughout the entire class especially if you stay on top of it, get behind on work and it will be hard to catch up.

Cool. I never had a college level Chem class, just two Bio classes (includes basic Chem info) and the first few chapters in lecture seem to be based around Chemistry..I'm hoping that I'm not going to struggle becuase of this? Maybe it's just the introduction of A&P and we'll get past that stuff?Originally posted by redciv1Style 5's and E36's are like Civic's and Rota's, just looks good.Originally posted by Francois DillingerWould you wear skechers with an armani suit?

You are probably just learning about some of the basic functions from Bio and Chem that have to do with the body. That's mainly how things will start off, but it will start with the smaller functions of the body and then should start to get into the different systems and organs, etc. the larger picture, but depending on the level of the class you may get really in depth or maybe you wont with each system.

Yeah I kinda figured that. We just did the rat dissection yesterday, and we have a cat one coming up in the next few weeks, haha. I can't believe that you could do these classes during the summer, it must've been insane..Originally posted by redciv1Style 5's and E36's are like Civic's and Rota's, just looks good.Originally posted by Francois DillingerWould you wear skechers with an armani suit?

Haha a rat? I did a cat in high school, in college we had a lot of pigs for my first class and also a sheep brain and eye to dissect. Second class I dont think we ever dissected anything just models etc. Pigs were pretty cool dissections because apparently they are one of the closest resemblances to human's body system wise, besides monkeys. Yeah I took them over the summer because my plan of study actually suggested it, I'm at UConn and apparently the A&P classes here aren't a ball in the park.

I still haven't Anatomy & Physiology at school yet, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be exciting
