Possible E28 Purchase...

This car has been sitting beside a Chinese restaurant up the road from me for years now. I was in a car shopping mood, so I stopped in to take a look. The owners brother saw me and came out to talk, said I could probably get it for $500. Theres a bit of rust, mainly on the doors, underneath is pretty solid, it has less rust than my 98 Jetta. I'm not looking to build a show car out of it, I'm just getting bored with my DD Jetta, and have been on the lookout for something old, cheap and German to bomb around in on a daily basis. Its a 1983 533i, 330xxx km, automatic unfortunatly. Please share opinions, stories, maintenance costs, common issues, blah blah blah...
