  • What to look for in an STi??

I want to pick up an '02 - '05 WRX STi is there anything out of the ordinary I should look for?
(e.g. They tend to have radiator issues ect.)
Also I've seen some with about 100k miles for 11k-13k, is that fair?

Nine times out of ten there will be a rash, maybe some itching or a funky smell? Don't just self diagnose though Bro', take it to a doctor if you have concerns.

I think you have that confused with The Frappes.

If it has one of these, just walk away:

Yeah, try not to buy one off of anyone under the age of 35, because you can assume that it has seen up to dozens of redline clutch dumps on dry pavement, due to the owner trying to prove that his car is cooler than everyone elses. Other symptoms may include, but are not limited to: over-application of Monster stickers, overly-loud exhaust systems, and equally obnoxious aftermarket blow-off valves on an otherwise stock vehicle, including the clutch which you can well assume has been pounded.

Sorry if I've confused typical local WRX owners with the rest of the country's WRX owners. I shouldn't assume they are ALL like that, but they are here.

quoted once again for truth. And the owner may be wearing a Ken Block jersey, but don't be fooled. He is not in fact, the real KB.

Ouch, so much **** for Subaru's. I can't say that I drive mine like that at all, or act like that. I mean, I understand a lot of kids are being douchers with them now-a-days but jeeze.

Anyways, most 04-05 WRXs and STIs go for anywhere between 9k-14k for one with around 75k-90k miles on them.
