This all started because a former assistant coach raped/molested at least 9 boys. It then expanded, and a cover up was uncovered, and Joe Paterno the head football coach, was fired. If you know anything about PSU, he is the reason this school what it is now. (If you read what I said I agree that he should have been fired). But a few students decided it be good idea to turn what was a peaceful rally to express their distaste with the board's decision to fire him, into a riotous mob, and thus you have what is national news.- Kielan (Key-lin)

As a guy who grew up watching penn state football, I was really hurt to hear about this story. Penn State has always been about moral integrity and doing the right thing. For no one to do the right thing and remove the guy from the guy after hearing about the incident in 2002 is mind bottling to me. That being said I really wish the JoePa was not fired because of this and was allowed to coach the rest of the season. Joe Pa has given around 60 years of his life to that school. Now we need to move on and show to the rest of the world we are better then this riot and better the molesting children and covering it up for the benefit of the school and the football program.

Sucks that Joe Pa was let go from Penn State in this fashion, but it is what it is.
He definitely deserved to be fired, regardless of what kind of figure he was to the University.
It's a sport. Shouldn't have covered it up. Sandusky is a sick guy and so is everyone that tried to keep it quiet.Christof Goulart
