how about a defenseless man shot in the back and killed while apprehended on the floor? recently happened in my state. the problem is that they are trained to see everyone as an enemy and lethal force is ok.

i think the cop's reaction was excessive but I want to know the story about how the cop first encountered the dog. some people just don't know how to control their pets and that sets the stage for confrontation. i have 2 dogs which I take on walks, dog parks, and dog beaches. i always encounter owners who do poor jobs of supervising/handling their dogs.

Here is an update with some more information on exactly what happened.

Eye whitnesses say that the dog was already calm by the time the cops got there and didn't need to be restrained at all. There is no arguing this one. The cop was completely out of line and should not be able to serve in any police force ever again and should serve time for his actions. If the dog wasn't a pit bull then this case would be looked at in a completely different way...

Homeboy needs his fucking skull crushed. Nothing more, nothing less, they can claim whatever agenda they would like, but basically they just want something for nothing. Granted what wall street did there was shady at BEST, but if you're that upset about it, dont just stand there and hold your hand out like a little ethiopian orphan child at the site of some fat white michael moore looking fuck walking through their village with 25 lil ceasers hot and ready's , and just kill them.

Im not even going to look @ this just reading your comments are starting to make my blood boil we had a undercover programe on TV over here some time back filming underground pit bull and staff dog fights for money,once one of the dogs was more less dead they would get a car battery with jump leads and kill it off hands would change money and dump the dogs body!!!im not sure the what the out come was but i bet the sick evil fuckers got nothing as bad as the poor dogs did!!!

I mean, I'm biased because I dislike cops already. But I don't think this is as bad as those cops beating that homeless guy to death. They have that shit on video. Look that shit up if you want to be fucking pissed at cops. Also, I find it tragically funny that if any harm were to come to their dogs, you get trialed as if it were a human, yet when they do the same thing to our dogs (or whatever pet) then it's a petty crime, or however you want to call it.

Obviously everybody's going to side against the cops- people are already biased. Then, everytime something like this happens, everyone decides the cops are terrible, corrupt people, and mistrust all cops even more.

I don't **** all cops, there are actually a few cops in my town who always complement what I am driving...which is pretty cool of them, but I do dislike this cop greatly. I would understand if the dog kept attacking the little dog without stop in sight but when the owner gets the dog under control before the cop gets there and then does what he did, well that's outrages. This cop should be tried for murder IMO.
