  • 1988 Pathy 2-door

I just got this thing for 620 bucks last night! Remounted and balanced the tires this morning and it's good as new. I think the wheels are sick, so I was excited to find that they were in good shape. It was wobbling pretty bad last night.

Anyone ever fuck with these things? I need to buy a couple body panels, do the timing belt, reinforce the frame and rockers, do a manual trans swap, yada yada yada. So far it's looking like a cheap and fun build.

I seriously love it so far though. No longer scared of the snow.

It only has 165,000 miles and the frame is super solid. Despite the rust chunks on the body...

I wish those kind of cars where as cheap as that in Europe. What kind of a engine is in it? RWD or 4WD?
Go al out roofrack, snorkel and Zombie Apocalypse style on it!

Nice find!! I don't see too many of those roaming the streets nowadays...

If it's the 2wd, I'd turn it into a drift project

It's 4wd. They all have selectable 2wd/4wd though, so it will be RWD for about 95% of the time.

I'm just super excited about the condition of this thing. Most old trucks around here are COMPLETELY rotted out, this one is only slightly rotted out. haha. But most importantly, it's SAVABLE.

Not yet. Just going to bring it back to factory fresh and do a 5sp swap, if anything. I already have 2 stancemobiles. This thing has leaf springs and rear drums so it's a little harder to work with

Love Pathfinders. I'd love to get my hands on a truck like this some day.

                      No.

The Nissan Pathfinder is COMPLETELY different from the Opel Frontera. The Opel Frontera is a license build of the Isuzu Amigo (for the Frontera Sport) or the Isuzu Rodeo (for the 5 door Frontera).
