I’m bored as hell. Watching ghost stories on tv and got to thinking, since Halloween is coming up, does anyone have good stories that happened to you or someone you know??

This one time.
I woke up in the morning.
Went to the kitchen, grabbed some bread and put it in the toaster.
When it was done, I couldn't decide whether to put butter, margarine or jam on it. It was horrifying.
There's my toast story.

True Story....... Multiple stories but all connected.
Mum is the youngest in the family and typically she was the favourite out of all 10+ kids to my grandfather. When he passed away, he had a very peaceful death. Just sat down one afternoon and never woke up. Some people say he was just waiting for my mum to get married and settle down. Before he passed away, he told my mum in our language "Wherever you go I will come too" (This was in the philippines)
But anyway...
few years later, I was born in Australia. This is where the ghost stories come about; My dad use to work night shift and at the time I would only be less than about 6 months old, and typical fobs who are new to the country, my mum did not feel safe by herself at night in the house. So what she use to do was leave the bottles of milk underneath her pillow so when i woke up crying she would reach underneath her pillow and just shove the bottle in my mouth - thus she never had to leave the bedroom and walk to the kitchen.
Anyway, one night my mum didnt wake up. Usually she would wake up in the middle of the night due to me crying. but this one particular time she didnt. So she checked if i was ok and i was there sleeping peacefully. She then checked for the milk underneath the pillow and the bottles were not there. She then looked on the bed side table and all bottles were sitting upright and empty. Keep in mind, at this age I was not able to feed myself, let alone grab these bottles underneath the pillow, take off the cap and then sit there peacefully.
As i grew older (still a baby/toddler) more things were happening. I was getting toilet trained one time and mum was in the kitchen. I yelled to her that i want my teddy bear which was bigger than me and was locked in my crib. Mum walked in and said no, finish your business first and walked away back into the kitchen. About 10 minutes went by and mum did not hear a peep from me. So she went back to the toilet and found me cuddling this huge teddy bear that is bigger than me and that was locked inside the crib.
There are heaps of stories of this "spirit" or ghost as you wish helping my mum raise me whilst my dad was working hard to support us. But eventually, mum went to the a person with a "3rd eye". She wanted to know who was helping her, and what they wanted out of us. Anyway the session went on, and from what mum told me she got the hot candle wax and let it drip into water or something. What came about was the figure of my late grandfather. The "3rd eye" person said that he did not mean any harm and she then gave my mum the option to let this spirit leave us alone or continue what this spirit was doing. Mum decided to just leave it.
However our family strongly believe that this was my grandfather helping my mum out. Like i said there are heaps of stories of "someone" helping mum out with small things that involved me (this is just the tip of the iceberg). However I dont remember these as i was too young..
but..
couple years ago i was turning right into a street. It was 3am on a sunday night so no one was around. As i had just gotten my licence, and just bought my car i decided i should floor it once my lane that was turning right turned green. So started reving it in neutral and at the same time was looking around for cops or other cars - however no cars were around. As the light turn green i shifted it into D and slammed the pedal but there was no noise. So I looked down at my feet like WTF, looked up again (this all happened in less than 1 second) and when i looked up this car sped through the intersection and they ran their red light. When i saw the car, i looked down at my pedals again and pressed the pedal down and the car made noise again..
I strongly believe that night, if the car had gone when i first floored the pedals that car would of gone smack bang into me and I probably would not be here today. I also believe that my grandfather was with me that night.
Am i scared of it? no. Filipinos are very spiritual like that and i guess i was just raised to embrace it. Got heaps more stories, but maybe for another night!Last edited by private_numero; 10-16-2011, 08:07 AM.Comment

this one time when i was like 10 my mum was taking me to swimming lessons and we drove past this school and i thought i saw a ghost then 2 weeks later i was with my friend and his mum driving past the same school and she said that it was meant to be haunted. cool story ayeComment

Another similar story. I had a little wooden tricycle when i was still a toddler (but old enough to some what ride it) and i was in my crib. Asked mum for this tricycle which was actually underneath the crib. Mum said no cause she wanted to sleep and then she left the room. Apparently some time later she heard this banging noise and came into the room and i was on this tricycle inside my crib.Comment

lol its weird to think back if you believe in ghosts/spirits/demons, like... what else is out there that could be real? FYI Im not spiritual/religous nor am i skeptic lol
