vinyl instead of doing it right is worse in my eyes. rattle can flat black is still paint and is a commitment to that setup. vinyl no matter how well done is just half assed. it's not a full commitment.

Amen to that. When I go to shows and see vinyl wraps, I exclaim in a somewhat loud voice, "Oh that's a cool paint jo....oh, wait, it's vinyl. Nevermind." Never fails for trolling.

Flat paint takes effort to maintain. Vinyl is like the Rota of paint. Note I'm only talking about full monochrome wraps, not patterns or anything like that.

Vinyl wraps over rattle can any day. It's a professional finish, and it's definitely NOT cheaping out, considering a full wrap costs A LOT more than some rattle can finish... It's not exactly something you can do without experience either, there's a lot of labour that goes into doing it right.

And 90% of the time, flat paint looks like smashed assholes. As opposed to satin paint. And sure, if a car is painted in a satin finish and it looks awesome, that's great. Good for them. It's been working for decades. But knocking vinyl because it's easier? How about smarter?
