Just do what you have been planning to with the BMW. I'm not sure if this is the kind of answer that you're looking for as I too am a little confused by what's going on. But that is the best advice I can give you, build up the M3 and make it the car you love to look at all the time and most importantly have fun.

I have Borbet Type A 17s sitting in my basement next to my Zero Clearance coils, it needs a new lip, new top, and front seats recovered if I can't find some full electric M3 leathers... It could use a paint job as the sun has been harsh on the yellow. I plan on getting glass headlights and euro tails. I also want to upgrade the sound system, as M3 speakers are horrid.
These are pictures of the wheels from before I bought them, they're wrapped in dunlops, but I think the rears might need more stretch.

I'm just saying that I would rather drive low, and careful, and scape all through the Connecticut back roads than have an ugly, beater, with good clearance.
One of my students asked where my BMW was today, and I told him that I got my daily back. He asked what it was and I told him it was a jetta, his eyes lit up and he just said, "no way, it's not that black jetta with..." Before he finished his thought, I replied "with corvette wheels... yeah..." It turns out that he just got saw blades to put on his black mk4 jetta. I'm pretty happy that i beat him to it, but I guess I'm looking for some new wheels then

My dailys always end up turning into my project cars.
But yeah. My daily is my first priority when it comes to styling/stance. It's a thing of pride for me kind of and I enjoy the eye candy every time I walk to my car. I like my car to represent me. Like a first, first impression. And it bugs the shit out of me seeing my car constantly when I'm not happy with it.
Seriously though go install that shit right now.

I dropped my suspension in Wendy's parking lot, put on new wheels, and rolled fenders. All in that same parking lot, in the middle of the day, in Georgia.
I dropped my rear suspension of my E46 at 9pm at a gas station in VA to lower it more.
Suspension is literally the easiest thing ever to do. Go install that shit immediately.- Kielan (Key-lin)
