  • iPhone users need this app.

I know a large majority of users here use iPhones, so I wanted to let anyone who cares know about an awesome app I just found that increases the usability of the iPhone by 200%. If you know about it then carry on, but it's called "SBSettings". Now, you have to jailbreak your device to get it, bit trust me it is well worth it.

This app gives you access to the entire settings menu; such as toggle wifi, toggle brightness, airplane mode, 3G data, killing tasks and clearing memory on the device. You access it by setting a jesture of your choice such as holding the volume button up for 3sec or swiping up and down on your screen.

I have the app set to appear when i hit the volume up for 3 sec then the settings menu slides down from the top bar and vanishes with the click of the X as fast as it appears.

Here is a sample picture of the app:

And yes I know Android has had this since day one but this is a godsend for iPhone users where the feature is missing.

      Jailbreaking just for SBsettings?

I did. And while it was cool, I ended up several OS updates behind the crowd, missing out on cool shit all for the sake of being able to turn my WiFi on and off without switching to settings.

The ability to do a soft reset also helped. So many times, I'll only halfway restart my iPhone, forgetting to turn it back on like a tard.

I'd say 50/50 on this app. Yes for what it can do, no for having to jailbreak.

iOS 5 is going to add a lot of this functionality, also. Something to consider.

Nah I didn't jailbreak for it. I've done like 15 things because I was tired of waiting for ios5. I turn my wifi on and off all day so it gets annoying going into the settings. Im on iOS 4.3.3 currently, not much im missing. I hope they put in some toggles to the iOS 5 dropdown.

That's what I heard. Can't wait for it (and for my inevitable upgrade to the forthcoming iPhone 5).

Got a much better pic of the app. Better skin. I'll just wait for an untethered jailbreak of ios5 if they dont include some of these features.

Modified the activator controls so it opens when I swipe my finger down on the statusbar, then swipe up to close it.
