Hi there. Looking to relocate. Can find work in any major city. Been looking at all the cost of living/economy on the net.Texas is a maybe due cost of living being low and me wanting to buy a house with a two car garage. Was wonding what you guys think state has the strongest stance scene? Where I live now I feel like its pretty nonexisten half the year due to a brutal winter. I would love more than anything to hit up meets and shows all year round. Any advice would help out. Thanks

Texas has a strong car and truck scene. Every larger city has a ton of enthusiasts in the various scenes. Import, Euro, Muscle, Truck, etc. Avoid small towns though because the scenes are much weaker. I am essentially the only true enthusiast in my town. There's a lot of rich guys with restored classics they bought and then there are the AutoZone kids with their plastic chrome stick on accessories and neons that pretend to be F&F. I really enjoyed the scene in DFW back in the day. SATX also has a really good scene from what I've seen from friends in SATX. Cali also has a strong car and truck scene presence. I won't lie to you though, it's HOT here during the summers. The past 3-4 months here the high hasn't been under 100. The last 2 months it's been 110-118 daily. But the winters aren't horribly bad. Usually 2 months of weather in the 30's-60's varying week to week. Maybe snows once or twice during that time and generally doesn't last more than a couple of days before it's melted.

Cincinnati is commonly known as boring midwest, and the last to get "trends" or whatever, but yeah we have a really strong CAR scene here, not necessarily stance. Honestly, we have a Thursday night meet, that has completely re-engaged the car scene, grudge racing, king of the streets, burnouts, etc...couple decent sized shops, etc...
hell our Thursday night meet had like 4k people at it last week, and has grown since it's inception...100-200 racers, etc...Originally posted by FluidMotorUnionFuck Rotas, I'd rather my wheels not break apart when I drive over a watermelon seed.

Good to see TX has a strong scene, but it's news to me here in Houston unless the entire stance scene revolves around VWs. I wouldn't dare try to bring my ride to one of their meets.| 92 Corolla AE92 | HKS SMF, Testpipe, Hyperco/Tokico/GC | Houston, TX | 86Garage |
