Guess I need to buy a BMX frame specifically made for 26" wheels like those above. Because I was trying to create one of those BMX bikes with the small frame I have but it didnt come out like I planned it to look.

bobbyjones: those bikes in the pictures have 26" wheels on them

yea thats a 24 for sure and unless im terribaly mistakin it will be a bitch to try and put a 26 in there. They used to make 26 cruisers bitd but they are ultra rare (read exspensive) now. Companies like mongoose, redline, profile etc. On another note im six foot three and my Free Agent Limo is a 20 incher with a 21.5 inch top tube and its nice for riding and great for jumping it...its getting to old for that stuff now though it hangs on my shed wall

so a cruiser frame? i still don't think a 24" bmx bike is going to fit a 26" wheel. i get where your going with this (i have a 29er and understand your thinking) also something to take into consideration is both the bikes above are 11/8" head tubes with euro/spanish/mid bottom brackets. to use as an example the pictures above there is no room to fit another inch of wheel within the chain stay and seat stay bridges... you should look around a standardbykes.com they will make you a frame to do whatever you it too.

Whats up with frames like this? Looks like 26" would fit in the rear, the frame seems long enough.

Well, wasnt happy with the bike when I finished it, so Im throwing on a bigger suspension fork in the front and leaving it aside for my trip to Vail. I'm going to keep the parts I've bought as well as the 26" wheels with the BMX single speed hub and put them into a 20" BMX frame. I happen to have a spare 26" fork that is 1", threadless, and a 1" headset, and 1" diameter 3" rise bars.

Has anyone put 26" wheels on a BMX? Looks easy with the right frame in the rear.

if your looking to actually ride that bike on and thing besides a bike trail i would bet on it snapping in half.

and just an fyi. i'm over 6.2", i ride a 20" bike, 20.75 top tube, 175mm cranks, 28" rise handle bars, 20" bmx bikes are much more comfortable then they once were.
Ride it and make it look good. Not sure where you're lost, but the thread is a bit TL;DNR. Also why would it snap in half? Ive already been jumping it in a dirt park, it's not so much as creaked. I will be taking it with me to Vail, Colorado to do downhill. - when that time comes I will purchase a different front fork, but for now it's non-suspension.

Got the beefy BMX headset in finally, but it was not the advertised size. The stem clamp is 1-1/8" but the handlebar clamp is 1". It was supposed to be the same, so now I've gotta wait for a set handlebars that fit 1".

In other news, I **** SUMMITRACING Still waiting on backordered wheels to finish my truck. At least this project is coming together.
