Figure I'd post in here too with a question instead of making another thread like this. Is 235/60 much of a stretch on a 9.5" wheel?

That won't look like much of a stretch the 60 sidewall is WAY huge.

Haha. Well it's a 15x9.5", had 255/70's on it, they bubble out, tired of that look (its a truck) wanted something smaller, and stretched. Anything smaller then a 60 wouldnt look right. I wish I had a car!

If it's a truck... yeah...just get bigger wheels. I'm having a hard time picturing stretched 235/60 n 15x9.5 (which will look like weird balloons) could look good on a truck. The proportions you're working with just don't jive...

Yeah.. trying best to save the set of old 15's I have from the 80s. Dont know what else to do without looking ridiculous. The stretch is so I can tuck the tire a bit. The rims are flush with the fender and the tire currently bubbles out and rubs the fender.

Hm. Stretching with really tall sidewalls looks weird. It never sucks in like it does with low profiles, it still bulges out.,. 235/60 is wide enough and tall enough that it might not help your clearance as much as you'd think. Maybe.

On paper the 235 is 9.2" and the wheels are 9.5" so i was hoping for at least a flatter sidewall that didnt buldge as much. Also the height loss of going from 255/70's to 235/60's (29.1 to 26.1) is gonna help me get a little lower. Im saving up for either a pair of 18's or 20's currently since it's a fullsize truck.

This is what I found for a stretched 60'. Doesnt look toooo bad. Im just worried about it staying on the wheel with camber and a 5000lb truck on it. But, thats the price of trying to be unique and stancing a truck.

Just ordered a set of 18x9.5" wheels from a Ford GT500 off Ebay for $300. Now trying to decide on a good set of tires for them with a decent stretch, but nothing too rediculous since it's a 5000lb+ vehicle. I'm thinkin 225/45/18.

175/70 on a 14x7 tiny bit of stretch. Enough for me to curb the lips good lol.
