so i left CT today to head to NJ for Eurowerkz. while New York roads are terrible and i mean TERRIBLE, after 2 near bending my wheels pot hole, and constant abuse to the car i made it to jersey.when i stopped at a light and proceeded to go at green the car felt hesitant, almost as if my brakes locked up or something...to make a long story short the car vibrates at idle, park, and in gear (auto tranny), the vibrating is less noticable in N but still present. The mounts seem good, and it could be the exhaust but that seems good too, the tranny feels weird,,too quick at the low gears, and almost never shifting at the top gears...(car is a BMW 1999 528i),,any ideas???

I would ditch that chrome front plate and see if that helps. Even if it doesnt, you still did yourself a favor.

Does it get worse when you rev the engine? Have you checked engine/transmission oil levels at all?

My GPS decided that the trip to Sowo would be much faster if it sent me through Manhattan. I feel your pain.

bahah same exact thing happened to me while driving through nj. it happened because my my track pipe is an inch of ground which got slammed into smacking my motor around making it drop onto the xbrace(also about an inch of the ground) which then resulted in a cracked pan. How the hell did you manage to do this at your ride height?

It is easy. I want to reinforce my pass side one because I've snapped two of them now

                          cars is pretty low
My guess is 19s +35 profile tire +stiff springs + 4000lbs of machine hitting a pretty big hole at 60 is to blame ....I truly despise new York city ....ct has shit roads but never have I done any damage to my car ..it took new York roads ...and I heard about (Ollie ) if that's your name ,oil pan +bracket + planned trip = terrible feeling .
