    okay im completely new to wheel measurements so i need some help okay

    so my mini had 175-65-15's

    i know the 15 is the height of the wheel what do the other two numbers mean??

    and what do the numbers represent in measurement ie (inches, centimeters, millimeters)

    im a noob and ive always been confused by this

    also offset.. i know what it is but also what measurement does it represent??

    thanks for your help

    i think ive got it 175= tire width in millimeters... and 65= sidewall height smaller number is a smaller sidewall so for nice stretch smaller width and a small to midsize sidewall??

    when i get me next vehicle (E46 of some sort hopefully a wagon)

    i want 215-40-R17 on 17x10's on the rear idk about fronts yet tho

      175 = width in mm
      65 = height of sidewall. percentage of width
      15 = wheel diameter

          Note: the "width" is the bead to bead width, not the tread width, or the overall width. Those can vary a lot depending on the brand and model of tire.

          Most manufacturers make one or both of those measurements available in the spec sheets for their tires as well, if ever you need to calculate clearances or something like that.
