yeah, apperently muslim tradition requires the body to be buried within 24 hours of death and I'm pretty sure they had to idea what to do with the body so they were just like fuck it, throw him in the ocean.

well he wasnt buried within the 24 hours but they said as quick as possible- and no country would accept his remains combined with the shrine aspect of it it is a good move to bury him at sea- however muslim tradition states that the only time you can be buried at sea is if you die at sea- but honestly idgaf about tradition when it comes to him
