Im suprised that people dont associate r32 with nissans automatically... They have only been around for 20+ years, but I guess not everyone whos into cars would actually know about various makes and models

oxer i dont think its about who was there first or what ever .. its mostly because of what car or scene your into .. dont get me wrong its not cause i drive a vdub i dont like a good looking honda or any jap car .. but its just because im all into vdub's more cause i drive one ..hense i think about the Golf first instead of the skyline .. and to think.. a couple of years ago i would done everything for a skyline in need for speed Underground xD

            Jussayin' its a silly argument.
what he's saying makes sense. r32 to skylines is what mk4 is to r32/golfs

Skyline. Since, like OP said, they're much more common than the VWs.

depending on where you live tbh .. in some country's its not even road legal ..like i said im into vdub but i would do anything to even see an R32/33 here in belgium .. i think there would be a lot of people here that would cross over to a R32/33 instead of a vdub project ..

its not a silly argument, as said before r32 in relation to skylines is the chassis code or whatever, r32 to vw is the name of the car.

I was into Japanese cars way before I got into VWs and knew plenty about R32, R33, and R34 Skylines. At the end of the day, it's a VW Golf R32 and the R32 is part of the name and model designation. With the Nissans, it's a Nissan Skyline GTS/GTR/etc with the latter being the model designation. R32, R33, and R34 are chassis codes.

Sooooo, on that basis, saying R32 Skyline GTR is exactly the same as saying MK4 Golf R32.
