WTF Does R32 mean to you...?

I keep opening threads titled R32 and seeing fucking Volkwagens!! Don't get me wrong, I have 4 vw's, love them, but in Canada we don't get the R32 version of the Golf, but we have plenty of R32 skylines roaming around so I always assume I'm going to open it up to see Godzilla, not a Golf.

Just wondering if anyone else immediately assumes Skyline when someone mentions R32?

I always think of vw, r32 skylines aren't that popular in the uk.

For me it's not a matter of which is rarer, I just never see a VW R32 because they don't exist here. Meanwhile every punk in highschool has an imported lhd R32 or R33.

Here in Brazil we have ONE Golf R32, and ONE "illegal" (I mean, it is not allowed to drive on the streets) R34 (the only Skyline we have here), so when I read R32, I think of a VW just because I like it, lol.

Its really weird, where I live I'm used to seeing audi r8s, lambos and ferarris etc... But a couple of weeks ago a really clean factory looking skyline r32 drove past and I had to just stop what I was doing and look!

I know for sure there are a handful of VW R32s in Canada. Some kid working at Sears asked me what I drove and when I said R32, he asked me if I was talking about THE R32 Skyline... On that topic, there are a bunch of R32 Skylines on Long Island

i think of VW's because i had a mkIV, but with the skylines you usually see (GTR or GTS-M) or whatever with the R32
