it takes skill and all, but I still think it's pretty retarded. It's probably difficult to race a motorcycle with training wheels on it, but that doesn't mean it's cool...
I think it's a cool video. And the guy is skilled. So is Ken Block.
Whether it be a RWD, AWD, 4WD, car, truck, bigrig, or whatever, it takes an immense amount of skill to do any of it like they do.
For myself I found the block videos to be more entertaining, because of all the different drift maneuvers, obstacles and slow-mo parts. It tickles my fancy more.
If you think of it that way, any form of racing is retarded. Especially drifting and drag racing.
not really. both drifting and drag racing were founded upon the use of cars, not goddamn semi trucks. how often do you see people doing tandems in f-150's? There aren't any trucks/suv's/semis/ bigrigs/etc. that drag race either, besides maybe the occasional school bus powered by a jet engine that is more or less a novelty.
once again, that driver is very, very, skilled and I will never be able to do what he does as well as he does. it's just my opinion that it's pointless after all
only disciplines involving trucks that I can think of off the top of my head: Dakar rally and related events, monster jam, craftsman truck series, and the big-rig hill climb... nothing else relevant comes to mind. Also, none of these (besides Dakar) are in the least bit interesting because they all have an alternate version that uses cars, besides monster jam (the WWE of motorsport)

I guess I came off like I was stating facts, I wasn't. What I'm trying to say is I don't see the point in trucks in disciplines where you could be driving a car. Yes they are great drivers, but I can't see the point in driving a truck around a track/up a hill/whatever instead of a car.
