For real. You aren't legally allowed to speed to overtake someone. It's a gigantic load of month-old rotting horseshit.

The fuck is with this "defect" stuff"? I've been pulled over almost 15 times in the last six months for various things, no tickets except for no front license plate, and have never had any issues with my suspension other than cops loving to be chatty/bitching about something broken.
Anyways... No pics of my last pullover, but on Saturday night I was pulled over three times. Once for no front license plate, second time for tail lights being out (cop told me to drive straight home with hazards), third cop pulled me over for driving with hazards which is "unsafe" and makes other drivers "uncertain" of the car in front of them.

Nah but seriously, in Australia if there's any doubt that your vehicle may not comply to standards (i.e, any modification) then you're gonna be hassled by police because basically anything that doesn't seem like a factory part is technically illegal unless it has an engineers certification. And even getting your car through that can be more effort than it's worth.
So when you get a defect, generally speaking (it can differ from state to state) usually the cop will give you a certain amount of time to 'fix' the things that do not comply (quite often it's like 1 hour and then the car cannot be driven after that) and then the car has to undergo a full inspection to make sure it complies to standards again.Last edited by Jimmy_HR32; 04-30-2014, 03:36 AM.

defects are something we have to live with in the australian car scene. some guys clear it, and put the car back to how it was, continuing to roll hard, some like myself take it as a chance to change the look/direction of the car and run more subtle mods. others will change cars altogether, or just give it up.
working with cars is a passion, we may have setbacks, but one way or another, we'll find a way to enjoy doing what we love!!
