  • My Work (M3 Commercials Inside)

Some of you may remember some of my older work, and even the "Behind the Scenes, BMW M3" that teased at the idea of a huge rig that would potentially be removed.

    Welp, here you go!

    Finished M3 Commercials:

    0 - 60

BMW M3 "0-60" Directed by Gevorg Karensky Rigged/Driven by Dan Bartolucci Director of Photography Chris Saul

    Donuts

    The Behind The Scenes

Watch Full Screen, 1080p. The complete 47-second behind the scenes montage of The BMW M3 Commercial. I rigged, drove, and edited. Enjoy it.

And here is some other work..

This just won a College Emmy for Best Commercial, I edited it.

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

    Enjoy.

whats been done to the vert? cause the fastest 60 time i've seen for one was 4.8.

I like the heads up display but requoting the numbers at end is a bit much. I would suggest just freezeframing it at the end before the m3 logo or if you wanted to still put more emphesis on the spec then zoom in past it on the HUD. or 0-60-0 and have the camera zoom through the HUD and onto one of the logos on the car as if it stop short enough for it to fly out of someones hand on that path.

And I think if you're using a convertible you gotta advertise that. otherwise it feels like it's dodging a question.

Hatchbacks, wagons... It's NOT all the same. You want in? Don't get a mazda 3, get a mazda 6 wagon. Don't get a wrx get a legacy wagon. and theres a reason the A3 isn't called the A3 avant... Scion does not make a wagon it makes a weird van, but no wagons

                  Sincerely,

P.S. Is your tail a wagon?

                    You, sir, win at life.

That's some awesome, incredible stuff right there!

Just out of curiosity - the digital removal of the rig, is that done frame by frame via photoshop or something similar, or are there programs that bascially automate the whole process for the video?

The VFX that did the work used a combination of both in After Effects and Photoshop. If I were to do it at work, the software could help with automating the process (hypothetically), but there is still a lot of frame by frame work.

It all depends on the material.

                              Thanks everyone!
