This Stanced scene is just a different take on lowriding. Its all about the streach and poke but og's like you say thats gay "no pokeman sh*t here" were is your loyalty? I thought this site was cool but you and others make me ashamed to be a part of this. I asked a simple question and I get an a$$ chewin. Nobody likes a$. Lowriders mag started out small and now look at it. Huge shows cattering just to that kind of car and lifestyle.
Those mags that you are talking about were also established a long time ago, when there wasn't a well established market for these things. No one is stopping you from doing this, go ahead and do it, but don't be surprised when you are in a huge hole because you are making no cash and aren't making money back on your original investment into the the mag. And WHEN that happens, don't come back here to bitch about it.

Also, you flicked through Lowrider magazine? 70% of it is advertising, no wonder they are still in business.....

I guess I should make myself more clear: I do not think making the magazine about
"stanced" cars would ever work (even more so as I read more of s60's posts), what I was talking about was more along the lines of politeness and constructive criticism.

And once again, I mentioned how print media is a dying breed, but it is by no means obsolete yet. Go on a subway in NYC and see how many people are holding a newspaper as opposed to a kindle/ipad/whatever. It's on the way out, yes, but not yet.

I understand what you are saying, give it 5 years, and you will see that its on its way out a lot faster than you think.

I said it will still be around in the near future, hugely diminished of course, but in 5 years I highly doubt that all bookstores and newsstands will be wiped off the face of the earth. I think we are agreeing that it is still around now (obviously) and that it is getting quickly eradicated. Don't get hung up on how fast and how many years, it's trivial whether it's 4 years, 5 years, 5 years and 6 months, etc.

Oh I know, what I am trying to say is that even if this magazine were to become successful, that would be around the time that it would be, and by that point, you're screwed because most people will have gone digital, while you are just reaching peak in your print sales.
