We just had another 7.1 followed by a 6 off the coast. There are 50cm-1m tsunami warnings.

Today marks a month since the 9.0 and big ones are still popping off...

yeah we're fine. we were posting about it earlier in RT.
it wasn't that big where I am, but it went for quite a while (over a minute at least)

it was a 7.4 off the coast of Miyagi (where the 9.0 was last month).

a power substation in sendai went out so large areas are out of power again. it has also cut most of the power that they're using in the recovery effort at the fukushima plant

ive stopped watching the news, partially because i dont have time working 12+hrs and then having to come home and be a daddy... but im hearing mumers that in a week we should know whats going on with the reactors

They are still considered aftershocks? Seems like you guys can't catch a break though. Hope everything is ok/

Yeah they usually expect aftershocks for a week or so after large earthquakes.

I just saw on the news before that the 9.0 on the 11th changed the alignment of the tectonic plates around japan, which caused the 6.0 in Shizuoka a few days ago.

For those interested there was a 6.1 aftershock in Ibaraki a couple of hours ago.

It didn't go for long and I didn't feel it much where I am so hopefully it didn't do too much damage.

I been thinking about you guys. Glad to hear you are well. Blackouts and lack of supplies suck but at least you're not in one of the hard hit areas.
