If you properly know how to ride one, and have it properly set up, It is very good exercise. I could explain the benefits to you, but with your obvious mindset on them, id be wasting my time.

i dont like hipsters as well, i got my bike for exercise and once i went clipless or whatever the pedals are ive never been happier, such a great workout especially being fixed and having way more control...once the ex switched over to fixed she fell in love with her bike

only reason for the aerospoke for me was i like the way it looks...stickers are gonna come off the bike soon tho, dont like them anymore

I knew the first comments about this thread would be something about hipsters. Good work on the bikes though, they're sick.

My friend has a schwinn that we just took apart and stripped and are gonna paint hopefully this weekend. Fixed, but just a neighbourhood cruiser.

I wanna make a trike with the wheels off his bike

How much are you guys spending to build these bikes? Ive been thinking about building one to put around campus with.

What exactly are the benefits of a fixed gear bike..? Genuine question, not trollin'

I've got a matching BMX to my car, before I get rid of the yellow I need to do a shoot with the two lol

main benifit is they are so simple, well thats all i can think of

once you go fixed tho you do feel more connected to the bike cuz you can control alot more while riding like slowing down using you legs instead of brakes, i dont mean stopping like actually peddling slower and stuff like that

nice bikes. i have a vintage fuji royale, its a 10 speed but thinking of now converting to ss/fixie. also i had a fixed project that was only a few parts away from completion, but ended up selling it for a good price as i found it on the side of the road for free, completely stripped it and re painted it lol

but here are a few pics.
