Forgot I started this. I play probably 2 competitive rounds every week and a tournament probably every other week. My ball striking was REMARKABLE this year. At the end of last year, I started working on a release fade that you hit from the inside and I hit is amazing. With my kids getting older and all of their sports, my time practicing really went down so my short game is crap.
Best round this year was 65 and averaged 74 with 32 putts LOLOLOLOL.
Here is a vid I made end of last year working on my swing. When I was 23, out of college golf, I grenaded my left shoulder playing basketball. Total reconstruction and 8 months of P.T. and I started playing again but I have 1/2 of the strength that I used to so I cannot keep my left arm strait at the top of my swing..... trust me, I have tried and strength trained but it didn't do anything. But hey, I sure can tell the weather.
Also, my left arm is 5" longer than my right. ya..... so my shoulders point all sorts of crooked so pay no attention to that

I've been playing since I was 3, currently a senior playing D2 golf and wishing I could be more consistent haha.
This past fall season I had one good tournament, shot 74-72 and got 2nd. Then after that had a decent tournament then it was about it for me. I seem to either shoot low 70s or struggle to break 80. Gotta love it haha
Also since I've gotten more into cars the past couple years I've noticed that my game has suffered a bit. I've put off practicing for going to car shows/working on my car. I don't mind it at all since I wasn't nearly good enough to go pro anyway, but my golf coach probably doesn't like it hahaLast edited by e39hamann; 11-11-2013, 04:14 PM.

Used to play back in high school when I was like 15-16 and had a handicap of around +12. Was always told I had a nice swing but got out of it and played football instead. Still have my clubs though. Titlist 975D with a stiffer, and slightly shorter shaft. Used to be able to wail 270-280 yard drives fairly consistently. Have a Tight Lies strong 4 wood and Ping Eye 2 Black Dot irons. Standard 3-PW. Shitty sand, lob wedge, and putter.
I def miss playing. Don't have much time to play anymore with work and other hobbies. Nothing like connecting with a ball nice and square and watching that little fucker take off.
At least it's a game I can always play as I get older.

I got fitted for a new Titleist 913 this year and I averaged 139mph club head speed and a 202mph ball speed with a driver that is 1/2" shorter than standard..... I have no drive or want to do long drive stuff (actually no time) but if I swang a 4" longer competition driver, my numbers would rank up there with the best in the world.
But I have the short game of a 10 handicap...........

I play off and on, but not nearly as much as I'd like. Here I was thinking that bankers got to golf all the time, but I rarely ever get a chance to play. Plus its so damn expensive.

I started playing when I was 8 or so. Lessons early on were definitely the best thing my parents could have done for me. It is so crucial to develop strong fundamentals at a young age so that when you mature you don't have to "fix" your swing but rather "tweak/adjust" it. My dad has always been into the game so most of my "career" I would only play a few rounds a year. This year has definitely opened up a lot of opportunities to play and I have played more this year than I ever have. Last time I calculated I was playing to a 12. Recent college grad with a ton of time on my hands haha. With winter rolling in and working at least 50 hours a week, it sucks to be limited to hitting balls at golfsmith until they kick you out of the booth haha.
What is everyones bag setup looking like? Maybe we can get a little WITB?
