  • and thats why i might be considered antisocial

so i leave work (hotel) and a guy pulls up in a white van and tells me how he installs home theater systems and he has 2 extra ones that retail for about $3gs and blah blah,, i really dont care and and proceed to my vehicle, he insists so "im like WTF!, i know a lot if dudes in the hood that steal, magically have some pretty good stuff , and i think maybe he got something good,,,he wants 500 i say no way ill give him 150 he gets a lil upset and says 400 i continue to hold ground and walk away saying no thanks,,"FINE FINE!! gimme 200 and were good" he says,,so im like ok 200 i can do it looks legit has work orders, magazines, etc. ( NOT ONCE DOES IT CROSS MY MIND TO GOOGLE THE BRAND) why ? idk im usually googling any doubts that i have,,,i get home and google it then and what does the 3rd search result say - BEWARE OF SCAM ARTISTS WITH WHTE VAN AND ALLEGED EXTRA EQUIPMENT-,,wow that meets the description of what i just saw,,,and read reviews and stories and exactly what happened to me happened to multiple people down south, ( MD,NC,NJ,NY) etc...im pissed i lost the money but i SUPER HEATED i got scammed, i usually wouldnt care much for other humans and sht like that, so its highly uncommon ill get beat for anything because of how i am _antisocial_ to some...the thing works, but not to GERMAN specs as was claimed by the loser that sold it to me,,if i ever cross paths with him, so help me jesus that man will ________!.............just wanted to share and hopefully warn others,

Why would you ever even think of buying something out the back of some random white van in a parking lot...

So knowing that stuff like that happens all the time, why would you buy anything from the back of the van.. Buying stolen stuff is a crime as well...

buying stolen stuff is a crime, sure . doesnt stop the fact that an ipad which goes for 600 bucks can cost you 100 bucks,to me thats a deal, DO i do it? no, but its hella common. idk why i did it, like most mistakes, ...dont know wtf happened to me,,,but this solidifies my idea of worrying about my 3-5 people and the rest can suck a D---.

In all seriousness I guess you were unlucky, but how the hell did you not realize this is a scam? Some dude out of the back of a van claiming he has a few g's worth of stuff and only wants $500 for it is going to throw some red flags to me...

                        antisocial? no. uninteligent decision? yes.

watch out for emails and calls asking for bank info/social security number too FYI. triyng not to be a huge negative douche cause this was clearly a bad choice, i hope you learned a very valuable lesson.

You bought stuff out of a van in a parking lot. You deserve it. It's not even a matter of luck.

I've had friends do the same. It's the notion of "impulse" buying. We all have done it...

Now buying stuff out of the back of a white van in a random parking lot on the other hand...
