Adobe Premiere Pro CS4: Need Help

I imported a video file, then dragged the "Drag Video Only" from the source window into the timeline. I then imported a song and dragged it into the timeline and it put it into "Audio 1". I then realigned the song to end when the video ends. Pretty simple. Just trying out this new camcorder. So then I went to File then export>media. Labeled it then start queue. But when the video comes out published it looks great but is silent D=< I mean when I play it in the "Program Sequence 01" window it sounds great, but it comes out silent. So I went batshit crazy, trying to eliminate everything possible that could be causing the problem. More specifically all the leftover audio and video tracks so now only Video 1 Audio 1 and Master still exist. Please help anyone, thank you

I have Premiere Pro CS5. Are you extracting the audio, too? Check the export settings, you might have it for just video.

ya I had the audio checked also, like I've done it 3 times thinking I've done it wrong every time. When you say the layer muted are you saying "toggle track output"? Cause that's good too.

Well I think there's a mute button, too. but if you say you can here it during the editing, then it's on. What codec are you using to export? Because some of them only allow video exports, or audio exports.

in the export setting I'm using MainConcept Mpeg Video in the Basic video settings tab

Then in the Audio Tab i'm using PCM Audio Codec, I took a screen shot and am uploading it to pbucket right meow

hhmmmm....Have you tried another codec? H.264 perhaps?

Are you talking about the video codec? Because it won't let me change it in the export settings. Do you think the audio codec could be something? I can chance it from PCM to dolby digital or MPEG

Hey I just saw the H.264 you were talking about, it actually shows up later in the Adobe Media Encoder, so I chose that from the format list and changed the audio to MP3, let's hope it works

hey bro it works! =D BUT D= the size of it is smaller than the other format I was using, is it kinda like, I just have to deal with it sorta thing? Or what? Also, there seems to be too much bass in the music, lol, I mean this isn't really a big problem, I think it's cause I moved the db's up too much in the audio track. That kinda sucks about the format thing. It seems like the one I was trying to use was so much better

Awesome! Maybe you need to mess with the settings, idk. i don't have bass problems. But yeah it might be cause you raised the volume lol.

It probably didn't work before because windows doesnt recognize audio formats like that. As for the video size, you can change it in the export settings. Or you should be able too.

Yeah, I already fixed the bass level. I was raising that db line cause I was like, Fuk, is this why it's not working haha. Hmm, I was thinking about the format not working with windows seeing as adobe is predominantly used on Macs, but I thought it was weird that the video worked and not the audio, weird. I already uploaded it to vimeo and it says it won't be done rendering for another 30min, or I could upgrade to vimeo plus to skip the line or something haha, so I'll just wait till tomorrow morning to take a look. Thanks for the help bro. I'm going to do some more research tomorrow when my head feels better.
