perfect strangers?Originally posted by Kielan View Post
Thanks Ben, I really, really hope that I can become that person, someone who can talk to perfect strangers, and not constantly be concerned with being perfect, to live up to something I am not.

If you really want to improve communication/social skills. I more than highly recommend some sort of sales job. I worked sales almost 5 years, and I have no problem talking to anyone anywhere. It was one of the biggest confidence builders ever. You don't need to be selling like $20million stuff, but shit I just sold mobile audio stuff at big box retailer. You will learn to think quick, you will learn everyone is a huge ass hole, and you will learn to talk to everyone.

If you can develop your social skills and be able to interact with perfect strangers, you will be leagues ahead of the majority of your age. On top of that, it will be a skill set that will have a higher value to most companies, then even the degree you are in the process of completing.
Now, if you can combine this with "humility" (something we all struggle in), you will be able to pick and choose who you want to work with, because you will be sought after. Goodluck.
Haha.. story time.
I love America and USD paper, but if they were to change to plastic, I wouldn't vote against it.
