  • I got a new job!! (aka I'm moving to New York)

For those of you that don't know, I've been on the verge of losing my job since Waterfest 2010. The company I work for was sold that weekend, so my future with the company was pretty uncertain. Since July I've been on a month to month contract working with the new owners, helping to maintain the daily operations of the business. They've been trying to find a few people to do the tasks that I do, but haven't had any luck yet. Last week, they made me an offer. The salary and benefits are way better than I was making under the previous owners (the plus of being bought by a big company). This past saturday I went up to the area and looked at some apartments. I found a couple places I really liked, and the math works out well. So I accepted the position and filled out some applications for apartments. Hopefully I'll know exactly where Im living by the end of the week.

I will be continuing my employment at North American Motorsports. Pretty stoked about it. I really do enjoy what I do there (as much as I bitch and moan). I was hoping to find a way to stay involved in the automotive aftermarket industry. And now I'll be able to.

The last weekend of January, I'll be moving to Clifton Park, NY. Thats a little bit north of Albany. I don't know anyone there, so it'll be a new adventure for me. Only 2 hours from home, not too far of a drive to see friends and family. Early in the year, and some good news right out of the gate.

Thanks! I can't even explain how much stress that lifted off my shoulders. I was dreading the thought of having to go on unemployment

Congrats dude! I'm taking some freelance writing course in the hopes that I can someday pair that with my writing experience @ WOT Magazine & sofitted.com to someday write for a legit magazine (i.e. Super Street, Import Tuner, Modified, etc etc), which will for sure be fulfilling my wildest dreams. Best of luck to ya dude, hope everything goes well!

I'll miss having you in CT though.. I still got you when it comes to documenting the build though.

                          Congrats on the new job.

Clifton Park is only about an hour and 45 minutes from me.
