  • What to Drive: Subaru vs BMW.

    Evening Everybody,

Im tossing up a big decision here. In the garage I have a Subaru Liberty 2002 model, which Im currently driving daily... Its a decent car, everything stock, need to look at it twice to notice it's there kind of thing... BUT, it gets me where I need to be.. safely and economically.

Now heres the problem. Parked next to it, is my project car... a 1987 BMW e28 535i. My pride and joy... It doesn't start at the moment.. but its a very simple fix. Its been standing for a while and the fuel is as black as sin.

Mmm, My complex lies here. The subaru is just approaching 100000k's on the clock and if Im going to sell it, nows the time. The beamer definitely needs some work getting it road worthy... Tyres, Plugs, and a really good service.

Thought I'd open this up to the forum.
Should I sell my subaru, put the money into the bank to start work on the BMW?
Should I sell my subaru and buy something new... reliable.. and easier to work on?
Should I keep my subaru.. and do the (ugh) inteligent thing?

Sell the Subaru, buy a VERY cheap, but easy to work on daily (if somethings gonna break) and spend most of the money on the BMW.
