drama, yea its well worth it cause mine had the motor as well and i bought the wheel set, so 60 is deff nothing i have a problem with spending. thanks i appreciate that. i got my license suspended a few days ago so this is all i got to do LOL

vegas, aoshima wheels almost always come with the stretched tires when they have the japanese writing on the box. usually says stretched tires. ive seen some on ebay as well.

            more progress

That's cool. I want to get one so bad now. Haha that sucks, Wolfe. that other box that shows the car with the camber; is that some mods for the car so you can "stance it out"?

nope that is the aoshima wheel kit. came with the ssr's, stretched tires, alot of jdm decals, extra steering wheel and spoiler. there are multiple kinds on hobby link japan that have the same styled box art. Fujimi has the biggest selection of wheels that are in real life. but doesnt have stretched tires on most

For the stance of the car its ALL up to you as to making it sit the way you want.
-Either making your own parts possibly (with resin or fabing with whatever you want/can find that works).
-or just modding the parts it came with to sit lower.
Im basically not installing the wheels "correct" to have them sit where i want in the back. i ditched the springs so the axle sat as low as it would go. Haven't done the front suspension yet as im still deciding how i want to go about it while keeping it to look real still.

this is what makes the modeling process fun for me. having to customize and find ways to get the car to look, and sit the way you really want. and not just buying a model that has adjustable suspension as some do but very little to none. Most are out the box "stock" cars. Just like real world lol

aahh I see. I mod my cars a lot so I don't mind that.

I still have an RX7 model in the box that I never built It came with the RG's with those color rings around the lip and I think CWEST kit? I was waiting for an airbrush kit so I can paint the body before I built it, but that never happened so I never opened it. and I got it like 4-5 years ago? LOL

Found a pic of it on google

haha WORD. all the older kits are the best. does it have an engine as well? i love those advans wheels as well.

                    some inspiration for your kit.

idk what car im gonna get next as this is only my first build and got me excited about this hobby. Im thinking sticking with the older 80's car kits.
Either the celica, skyline, or supra are calling my name

hell yea they are. I even had some other ones from a few years ago. One was a SLAMMED Nissan pick-up on Volk GT-C's. The other was a super low, touge looking Altezza. My dad gave them away though and he wasn't able to find my RX-7 so this is the only good one I have left. Yeah, I think it comes with an engine. I know you have to build most of the underside of the car (muffler, suspension etc). Yes, those Advans freaking rock.

That's what I'd do. 70-90's though. I would like to see some Boso like models, too.
Get an old 70's Celica and put some SSR MKII wheels on it

hhmmm, not bad. I might skip the suspension so I can slam it.

this celica done by someone i know. and how i would go about mine.

                            and a old skyline

there are alotttttt of little modeling forums, and blogs that no one really knows of. or else this hobby would be SO MUCH more popular. People around the world are making this a true art form as you can see from the posts

I think I've seen the Skyline one. Both are F'n sick. How are both of those built, as far as lowering, wheels and the cooling lines in the lights go? haha.

Are they using the same wheels as the ones on HLJ?

I wish i knew were all of mine went to

I built a 33 Ford 5 window coupe, with a chopped roof, chanelled, wide slicks up back and skinnies up the front, and a 427 Hemi, with a supercharger.

a 64 impala lowrider, and a 57 Chev 2 door were also built.
