Vegas: ive seen you on a few modeling forums. im up there just not enough progress on the build for me to post it up yet. For the stretching tires i would recommend adding glue along the edge of the top of the rim, attach the tire, let it dry and then proceed to pull it back toward the inside of the wheel. the glue will keep it positioned and able to stretch the tire unless its not a strong bond or the tire is too stiff.

its awesome, really just another form of artistic expression. not following the model step by step, but truly just building a car you've always dreamed of having, custom making your own parts setting it apart from what the box intended. alot of fun on spare time when you have nothing to do.

My friend used to build cars from scratch and do little shoots like these. I gotta find the pics again, this dude was legit. He even had a site where you could buy all the stock model cars he uses to mod up, and all the equipment to do it. He even molded his own bodykits/overfenders and would sell em.

whats good drama, i got the kit and wheels from hobby link japan. takes a month for the standard shipping and costs like 12 bucks, but quick shipping in 2-9 days was 25 bucks. in total for the kit, wheels, and fast shipping it was like 60 or so.

its addicting man haha. i hope to inspire more to get into it as well. i cant have all the unknown fun and its time consuming where it never gets old. you get just as much out of it as you do a 1:1 car pretty much. KEY is to just be patient with paint and glue. where you will find it easiest to mess up trying to get things together before they are ready.you wont regret it by painting most the parts together and then assembling it all at once.

ive been held up on my build because of the real car lol but today i layed the black base coat for the most of my interior, where im gonna now add the red accents and put the details on the dash.

also bought new/better glue instead of the zapagap i had. and got cool tools to paint the small areas easier.

Found these on SpeedHunters. Insane amounts of detail... with an insane amount of patience of course.
