That's my broke-as-a-joke setup. Total cost- $110. Ride quite nice for a beginner like me. Bindings are too narrow for my size 11s though, going to upgrade those this winter.
Armada Thalls and JJ's (park ski/all around and Backcountry powder/all around) on marker bindings....the thalls are on 16 pound springs, im not popping out but popping tendons if i crash.
well i got em last year around christmas and they were considered 2010. i love em tho
Ah gotcha. I originally got a set of Rome United Acids but after realizing that the discs they came with wouldn't fit my board and that the shop I buy my stuff from didn't know when Rome was going to send discs I decided to purchase the Cartels. I'm glad I bumped up in quality though because the gel in the upper strap is nice.

unknown year Sims Access 155, R-Disk Bindings(cant find any info on them came with board), Burton Carbide boots(epic $6 goodwill find)
not bad for a total of $66 imo
my helmet cost more than all of that
Revelation 170, Wide set up for deep powder. Flow bindings with rental centre plates. UPS semi hard boots. MSR snowshoes, Osprey 35 daypack.....No lifts in the back-country. Roger's Pass in the Rockies has the best snow. We dig 9ft pits to check snow conditions.
-Random used 51/50 board
-Random used Santa Cruz bindings
-Thirty Two Summit boots
Got the board/bindings from a good friend of mine. Worked out really well because he and I are about the same height/weight, and he works at a board shop so he bought a new setup for this season and had no use for his old stuff. I'm just getting back into snowboarding so I didn't want/need anything fancy, so he edged/waxed his old board up nicely at his shop and sold me the board + the bindings for $100. And the boots only cost me about $100 since they are Thirty Two's entry level boot. $200 and i'm ready for the slopes. Win.
