  • Baffled?

I'm looking to buy my first car, but Mother says it has to have an air bag. So I was thinking MK5 Golfs because for some reason insurance for a MK6 is double the price?
I wanted to know if anyone had any more pictures of Stephan Repke's MK5?

    Thanks

Please for the love of god. Do NOT do that to a MkV. Please, please, please.

      This "rat" crap is horrid.

Not sure about all of them, but in California...MK5 GTI's have fuel lobe problems that VW will not warrenty...Period.. after you do any performance mods they are more likely to go out, but VW is known to warrenty things later on, like the mk4's coilpacks.....so just be aware of heavily modding it....maybe cardoza (post above me) knows more about it then I do, and it isn't a very common problem......I am in love with the Mk5's so I still say DO IT!

I recommend buying a MK6 that's been in a front end collision. Then don't bother fixing it, and just cut the springs and paint the tires.

Strap some junk to the roof and you're good to go.

I dislike trying to "rat" out a "newer" car by just stripping the paint on the hood.

There's not a chance on this Earth I would give the bonnet that rust look. I just liked the idea of banded steels!
I'm located in Nottingham, England. But I won't be buying until around March time I assume, sorry guys. But good luck with your sales. I like the sound of the crackhead cheap one
I've seen a matte red MK3 on black Porsche D90's with chrome lips, also looks nice.
I'm so indecisive at the minute, I suppose I'll end up with something that pops up around the time.
                  Thank-you though

FWIW, those aren't banded, they're stock.

I am aware of that my friend. I have done plenty of research into Banded Steels.
                      Thank-you
