I have a neighbor that builds rat rods and calls them such whenever we're talking about his cars. Maybe it's like calling the TV remote a remote, clicker or changer...? Just different based on how you learned it?

I understand calling rat-rods 'rat-rods' but I was talking about rusted out 'ratty' cars. They shouldn'tb called rat-rods because they aren't, and I only see them being called 'rat-style' cars, in this thread.
