I would drive a dope ass modified car any day over a stock "nice" car. Sure it may mean that you buy a car that is 6-7 years older, but I would sure as hell be happier in that older car that I built to how I wanted it, over a stock car that will remain so because I had no money.Last edited by Kielan; 11-24-2010, 10:38 PM.- Kielan (Key-lin)

It depends, when I had my 2006 WRX wagon I kept it 90% stock, it handled decent, was fast as shit, and was way too ugly to begin with so I didn't bother to make it look nice with wheels, etc.. cuz in the end it woulda still been an ugly ass car with wheels
However, whenever I had a German car (most of my cars), within a week of ownership it was always completely thorn appart and turned into a full blown project.

i bought my q to daily while i built my maxima. it got suspension and wheel upgrades quickly. i always had the intention of building it though. when i lost my maxima i bought my ls to daily while i built the q. again, wheels and suspension were knocked out. when i realized that i needed something more dependable (old cars are good for a problem at any given time) i went and bought the titan. it was a choice made out of necessity (reliability, waurentee, hauling). even though i wanted a titan since they came out it was hard for me not to go for an audi wagon, toyota previa, or r class.
now we get to the point: it's pretty much understood that even a daily car will be dumped on wheels, however my titan remains pretty much stock. for the last couple months i have only been driving the (purchased new) 09 nissan truck and it remains nearly stock (except for a bedliner and colormatched wheels). i can't stand it any more.

My current work car is a '08 Kia Picanto. Pure fury from a 1.1l 55hp engine. Sitting insanely stanced on 13" wheels with negative stretched 155/70/13s - wait, that's stock.
I **** it with a fiery passion. I drive that piece of shit about 250kms a day. I **** it. I can not understand how anyone could EVER get the idea to buy a piece of shit like this.
Besides that, stock cars are effing boring. Drop and wheels are a must.

The only stock car I have ever enjoyed driving was a 1976 Porsche 911 widebody.
Other than that, I like making things my own.

I know we're all about low and wheels here, but I also have a Jeep. I don't like stock Jeep Cherokees, and I certainly wouldn't want one lowered, they need to be lifted. The whole reason I picked of a convertible m3 instead of a coupe was because I knew if I had a coupe I would want to make it a good track performer...

I wish I had a newer stock car as a daily. Something common and unsuspecting. Any college student on here that parks overnight in/around campus can tell you something that doesn't attract attention would be key. I'd like a pickup truck again.
It's hard to pull it off when your daily is an E24, let alone the (possibly) only one on this side of the state that is daily driven. My finances prevent me from doing anything cool to my car, so that's a good thing (for me), as much as I wish it was dumped on nice wheels.
