A few albums I've been enjoying...

Dogs on Acid - Dogs on Acid
Very rad band from my current home-town of Philadelphia. This is their first album, and I'd have to say this might just be my favorite record released this year. It's a super fun punk record with really great lyrics. These guys are awesome and this record fucking rips.

Tigers Jaw - Tigers Jaw
Fun punk band. Male/female vocals, super great lyrics throughout. This record came out a long time ago and still remains very important to me, definitely worth checking out if you haven't heard it before.

Pity Sex - Dark World EP
Pretty good indie/emo rock, also with male and female vocals, as well as some sad lyrics.

Dangers - "Messy, Isn't It?"
Killer hardcore album written about Hurricane Katrina. This is a must listen if you enjoy heavy and aggressive music, Dangers are truly awesome at what they do, this album rips you a new asshole the whole way through.

Title Fight - Hyperview
Another one of my favorite records released this year. I've been listening to Title Fight since their first EP, when they would play shows relatively locally to where I grew up in suburban PA. It's crazy to see how much they've progressed as a band. If you had told me in 2010 that Title Fight would be putting out what is practically a shoegaze record in a few years, I'd have looked at you like you have two heads. Yet, this record is nothing short of amazing. The lyrics and musicianship is out of this world on this record. Title Fight always manages to impress me with each release of theirs.
