Illustrator, first car pen trace.

I'm a video guy and most of my time is spent in Final Cut, however I'm taking an illustrator class for school and for my midterm we had to trace a photo, so I decided to trace my car, this was my first time every doing this. Can't wait to try this out on some cool cars.

Nice. Try doing solid colours instead of using gradients or blurs (I'm guessing). Then once you can get something like that down pat start experimenting with gradients.

I didn't use any gradients, just the pencil tool and feathering, I can't wait to learn how to do that type of stuff ^

i guess it is way easier to work with solid color than what you did.
love this kind of art, i did a chevy truck some years back for my illustrator class too (Design studies).
