I'm from the UK and currently on my 7th week of Nordic skiing, we have done 5 weeks at Idre in Sweden, one week at La Saisies in France, and now at Serre Chevalier in France.
Its not something i would have normally done, but the British Army competes in and encourages lots of sports.
Its fucking hard work! training 20km per day and racing between 5-25km.

Not a skier but a snowboarder. Been up to the tahoe area twice this season so far. Going again on friday if the weather permits. TONS of snow in the sierra this year. Good stuff!

Love the chronics, I have some older ones but still love them. I have a pass to Seymour in Vancouver but usually hit Mt.Baker. I highly recommend baker to anyone that is close by. Happy powder days everybody

I snowboard, I usually ride a used Condom (a Burton one because I'm classy ).

I'm actually trying to sell my Capita board right now if anyone is interested in a brand new Totally Fk'n Awesome.

I usually board up at Stevens or Whistler, so far this season has been amazing!

Figured I'd update this since there is actually snow now.

Been out 5 times already. Started hitting flat rails and riding/landing switch more. Also been trying to get comfortable sliding on stuff right leg forward as opposed to left leg forward all the time. Time to get better at jumps and figure out how to spin. Then it's on to switch up's on boxes and eventually rails.

I will say 178 are kinda long. I'm a fairly strong dude, so I can throw them around ok, but on tight moguls they are a handfull. Ridiculously fun ski to ride though. Very poppy and fun.

    Yours truly:

    Bumping this.

Finally got my skis built. Went with 178 Chronics (2011/2012 model, got them on sale), Marker Griffon bindings, and some Dalbello Rampage boots. Picked the skis up at the end of last year and got the boots and bindings at a show in Syracuse a couple weeks ago. Took them to a ski shop and had them mounted 2 cm back from true center for a nice park/all mountain balance. Heading back Monday to have my boots heat molded to my feet to basically eliminate the break in period of the boots.

I pre-bought my season pass for a local (40 minutes away) mountain so all we need now is some snow. I might pick up a some new snowpants, gloves, and goggles but other than that I'm all set. Pretty amped to ride this year.

I think I'll go with the 173's though. I don't plan to go super crazy in the park. I can already 90 on and off boxes pretty smooth so next I'll step it up to rails when I feel comfortable. I'm working on riding switch so I can land backwards off features. After that I just want to do simple spin/grab combos while being smooth. I've only ski'd 7 times in my life, so I'd say I'm progressing pretty decently.
