Now that i have a few cars gone and some more time I need to get serious for the winter build. I sold off the porsche cause honestly i ***** it and after owning it 2 months it sat for a little over a month of the time i had it. YUCK!
So here is where im torn. I have been surfing the tex, and still would love to fully do up my mk2 thats been sitting for 5-6 years OR start the VIP project i have been after for the past 4-5 years and just get to the gti when i can. the gti is a vr swapped car with corrado dash. The motor i have for it would need to be rebuilt because im picky like that. Id fully shave the bay and make it almost a useless piece of garage art and take it out to shows maybe drive it once a month. I wont sell the car cause it was the first gti i ever swapped and id like ot hold on to it.
The vip project would be left stock a few months while i gather parts and then over the winter come in to be made over. I would drive this more i think. I wouldn't use either as a daily and they would never see snow or rain cause i still have 2 other cars for that. I have had damn near 50 vw's now but have found a new love for toyota products.....Im not scared of the work for either... The gti would be a full redo. Im sure mice have made homes in it, The corrado dash idea makes me sick and Vr swap is old school. I like the car but **** the vw people more and more every day. I would be keeping the build off vortex no doubt and just bring it out at a show...might even show it in my dogs name. The vip project wouldn't be shown much even cause in CO people really dont build vip cars..I only know of one and i'm helping with it.
What would you do if you were in my shoes?
