Thing is, I haven't owned a VW for several years, but I've been around them my whole life and there is no scene like it, in my opinion. I still go to almost every VW show I possibly can, and luckily for me, the Northeast owns the Euro scene.

This "meet" needs to turn into an event in the future. I was thinking, maybe an indoor event. I've always wanted to show at an indoor event, like how they do in Europe. There's something really cool about indoor car shows, besides the fact that cars look that much better indoors for some reason.

First place that comes to mind that can host an indoor event and happens to be perfectly sized is the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ. Not trying to choose what's local to me, but I feel like Jersey is at the center of the Northeast car scene--for example, I know Virginia rolls hard, so hosting a Northeast show in Connecticut or Boston would be just a bit too far for those folks.

Discuss.

That sounds like a great place for a meet, the only issue is with indoor shows, we would have to charge a high admission cost just to cover the price of renting out the area. Then there is the issue of how many cars we can let in, etc. But don't worry, we are going to try and work something out for the next year.

I'll make the 2011 planning thread the second I get home from the meet on the 1st, I'll actually have time to plan it and it won't be 90% on Prodigee's shoulders like it was this year (my car is STILL not "done" )

Yeaaa couldn't get a flight out to Chi-town till next Friday. Car will be in full force at H20 this year though.
Now im scrambling to get the biturbos done for the GLI this week haha.
